Skin Peels
Skin peels are effective cosmetic treatments tailored to enhance the skin's texture and appearance by removing the outermost layers. These procedures differ in intensity, spanning from mild chemical peels that provide gentle exfoliation to more intensive peels that penetrate deeper for noticeable results. Typically, ingredients such as alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) and beta hydroxy acid (BHA) are utilized, aiding in the reduction of fine lines, acne scars, and promoting a more uniform skin tone. Following a skin peel, adhering to a proper aftercare regimen is crucial to safeguard the newly exposed skin and maximize the overall effects of the treatment.

A skin peel treatment is a cosmetic procedure that aims to improve various skin concerns, including acne, pigmentation, fine lines, and uneven skin tone.
Types of Skin Peels
Superficial Peels: These use mild acids, such as alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), to gently exfoliate the outer layer of skin. They require minimal recovery time and can result in a brighter complexion.
Medium Peels: Typically using trichloroacetic acid (TCA), medium peels penetrate deeper to remove damaged skin cells. These peels can improve the appearance of wrinkles and scars but usually require a recovery period.
Deep Peels: These treatments use stronger acids, such as phenol, to deeply exfoliate the skin. Deep peels provide significant improvements in skin texture and tone but come with a longer recovery time and possibly more side effects.
The Procedure
Consultation: A qualified practitioner assesses the skin type and discusses treatment goals, potential outcomes, and any pre-treatment instructions.
Preparation: The skin is cleansed and may be treated with a topical anaesthetic or soothing cream, depending on the type of peel.
Application: The peeling solution is applied evenly to the targeted areas of the skin. The duration of application varies with the type of peel.
Post-Treatment Care: After the peel, the skin may be red and sensitive. It is crucial to follow aftercare instructions, which often include avoiding sun exposure, using specific moisturisers, and potentially applying healing ointments.

The timeline for seeing results after a skin peel can vary from client to client. Typically, visible improvements may appear within a few days to a week, with optimal results becoming more prominent over the following weeks as the skin continues to heal and regenerate.
For best results, clients are advised to consider a course of these treatments, which can be scheduled every 2 to 4 weeks depending on specific skin concerns and response to initial sessions. Adding LED therapy or IPL skin rejuvenation can further enhance the benefits of the skin needling treatment.

Recovery time varies by the type of peel. Superficial peels usually allow for immediate return to daily activities, while medium and deep peels might require several days to weeks for the skin to heal completely. It is important to follow all aftercare recommendations to maximise results and minimise complications.

You can have a skin peel treatment any day prior/and or on the day of your cosmetic injections or dermal fillers. If having a skin needling treatment on the day of your injections, the skin needling treatment must be performed prior to your cosmetic injections.
We recommend waiting 14 days after anti-wrinkles injections or dermal fillers before having a skin needling treatment.

Upon initiating your skincare journey, we may recommend the combination of modalities (treatments) to achieve enhanced results while minimising the number of required treatments. It is essential for our clients to have undergone prior skincare treatments and to be using specific skincare products before we proceed with treatment combinations.
