No, there isn't much downtime for microdermabrasion. You may be pink/red and slightly swollen if you had extractions performed but this will subside over a few hours. This is the perfect treatment for a skin pickup and thorough skin exfoliation.

For the 3-5 days following treatment we advise the following:
– Ensure your skin remains moisturised and apply moisturiser regularly.
You may get purging of the skin, please try to not touch or squeeze the skin. Just allow it to come through and heal its-self.
– Strict sun avoidance and daily SPF 50.
– Avoid heat inducing activities such as vigorous exercise, hot showers, steam rooms for 24 hours after the treatment.
– Avoid any other skin treatments such as laser, skin needling and injectables for a week.
– Do not wax any areas of the face for 4-7 days after your treatment.

You can have a treatment weekly if you are wanting to focus on a main skin concern or as a maintenance treatment once a month. You can also add this treatment onto many other treatments such as IPL rejuvenation, peels, dermaplanning and LED light therapy.
