Laser Hair Reduction
Our state-of-the-art diode laser offers a safe and effective solution for hair removal. It works by emitting a focused light that targets the melanin (pigment) in the hair. This light is transformed into heat, which travels down to the root of the hair, effectively destroying it and preventing future hair growth.
Since hair grows in different stages, and our treatment is most effective during the active growth phase, you'll need multiple sessions to get the best results. The number of treatments you'll require depends on various factors, including your hair density and color, skin type, the area being treated, your ethnic background, and hormonal influences.
We utilize the latest and most advanced laser technology in the market to ensure your safety and comfort. Our lasers emit a precise wavelength that specifically targets hair follicles and does not penetrate the deeper layers of skin, ensuring a safe and gentle hair removal experience."
This version maintains the technical accuracy while being more approachable and easier to understand for clients.

Depending on the skin type, thickness of the hair and colour, also which part of the body is being treated will depend on how many treatments you will need, we recommend between 6-12 treatments every 4-8 weeks, although some people require more than others.
We invite you to visit us for a consultation and we can discuss exactly what we recommend for you and how long each treatment will take.

You must NOT fake tan or have sun exposure on the area being treated a minimum of 2 weeks before your laser hair reduction treatment. This is extremely important, you can cause serious burns to your skin and/or hyperpigmentation as the laser picks up any colour (melanin) in your skin. Please be honest to your therapist.
Please ensure you wear sunblock regardless of what you are doing during the day. Do not wax or pluck the hairs being treated for up to four weeks prior to your treatment. If you attend a treatment with visible spray tan residue or sunburn you will be charged 50% of the treatment cost and we will have to reschedule your treatment.
-
Please shave the area 24 hours before your laser hair reduction treatment. Shaving the area will ensure maximum results, with less pain. If you do not shave prior we will be unable to provide the treatment and you may have to pay 50% cost of the treatment booked.
If you're a new client to our clinic you can leave a small patch to show us your hair colour, thickness and density.

After your laser treatment please:
- Avoid sun exposure after the treatment
- Keep the treated area out of the sun for 4 weeks before and after each laser treatment.
- Your hair can take up to 7-14 days to grow and drop out, please don't worry. Your hair might just thin out not completely fall out.
- Do not wax or pluck the hairs in between treatments.
- You can shave or trim in between treatments.
- Please do not exfoliate the area until 48 hours after the treatment.
- Avoid very hot showers for 48 hours after the laser hair removal treatment.
- Your skin can become red and even bumpy up to 24 hours after the laser hair removal treatment, this is completely normal. It happens to about 20% of our clients, we advise that you use Laser aid to reduce redness and discomfort.

The laser, we use a diode laser, operates by producing a single wavelength that is specifically relative to the hair follicle. By doing this, it can precisely and consistently attack the exact region that it is targeting, the hair follicle. How does this laser get to the follicle to destroy it?
- The laser uses a beam of light which penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the pigment colour in the hair where it is converted to heat.
- This heat travels down the hair shaft to the hair root and destroys it so that further hair cannot grow.
- Because hair has different growth phases and the treatment only works in the active growth phase, several treatments are necessary to achieve a lasting result.
- The number of treatments required will depend upon the hair density, colour, skin type and treatment area, together with ethnic background and hormones.
- Typically, 6 to 8 treatments are required
As these are single frequency wavelength lasers, never at any stage does the laser penetrate the dermis or second layer of skin, making this completely safe and accurate. The body is also not exposed to any other wavelengths that are not needed for the hair removal process.

Most people ask the question, what is the difference between IPL and Laser? IPL and Laser are light based devices that use different light wavelengths. You will find that many companies throughout Australia are claiming to use “IPL Laser Hair Removal”. This is not a genuine Laser hair reduction device. The difference between IPL and Laser is the type of light and the way that light is delivered into your skin. Both methods target the melanin in the hair follicle to cause a reduction in hair growth. We are using a diode laser in clinic.
